A guide to the UKCC's professional conduct procedures
Abstract
The primary purpose of the United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting is to protect the public. One of the most visible ways it does this is through its professional conduct procedures. This article sets out how these procedures work and acts as an introduction to a new series in the British Journal of Nursing highlighting examples of professional misconduct case studies (please refer to p. 344).
