Healthcare technologies: An ethical discussion
Abstract
The use of new information and communication technologies has become widespread in daily life. In recent years, these technologies have also extended into healthcare settings, and ehealth has been indicated as an important resource for dealing with the unsustainability and the overcrowding of healthcare systems. However, as these technologies become more regular and complex, new ethical questions and concerns may arise. This article aims to describe some ethical aspects of ehealth and provide a discussion about the use of eHealth technologies within healthcare settings.
